The Situation

As consumers, we often see “Non-GMO” labels at the grocery store. This seems like a good thing, but without knowing exactly why, do we really want to pay more for this? To make things more complicated, claims and research on GMOs are contradictory and controversial.

The Solution

With this explanimation, I set out to learn more about GMOs and in turn present these findings in a simple, easy to understand way. This explanimation was created to help consumers understand what it means for a food to be genetically modified and the health and environmental consequences associated with these foods.
