A student asked me a simple question: is there still a demand for animated explainer videos in the age of AI?
In this video, I share my honest take. Not as someone who has it all figured out (no one has), but as a motion designer and educator who's been paying close attention to what AI can and can't actually do, and what it might mean for people who want to create this kind of work. I talk about what AI is genuinely capable of right now, where I think human creativity still has a real edge, and some practical advice for anyone learning motion design today.
No one can predict exactly how this plays out, but I don't think that means you can't make a thoughtful decision about whether to invest your time in these skills.
